Vision

The Burj Khalifa stands as the world’s tallest building and a landmark of engineering ambition. More than a record-breaking tower, it symbolises the rapid development of the Middle East and Dubai’s rise from regional hub to global centre. This progress is driven not by natural resources, but by human ingenuity and creativity.

One tower

At 555 metres above ground sits the highest outdoor observatory in the world, one of Dubai’s most iconic attractions. The tower’s top levels - The Corporate Suites - offer 37 floors of offices with sweeping panoramic views.

The Armani Hotel Dubai occupies several floors and is the first hotel designed by Giorgio Armani. Floors 9 – 16 contain Armani-designed Luxury Residential Suites, complemented by 900 private apartments, pools, restaurants and fitness facilities. Burj Khalifa is regarded as one of the world’s most prestigious addresses.

Reliable car park ventilation

Burj Khalifa’s car park accommodates around 3,000 vehicles across four levels, covering nearly 89,000 m2. Its car park ventilation system, supplied by NOVENCO, complies with US ASHRAE and AMCA standards for air quality and fan performance. In case of fires, the system can operate at 300°C for a minimum of 60 minutes.

CFD simulations verified that carbon monoxide levels remain below the specified 35 ppm and mapped airflow velocities, smoke density and smoke temperature during fire scenarios.

A total of 50 NOVENCO NovAxTM axial flow fans and 196 jet fans were delivered for this flagship project.
