The integrated approach meant a single point of contact managed all ventilation aspects, so the project avoided coordination delays common in multi-vendor installations. Our ventilation system ensures reliable daily car park ventilation and emergency smoke control.
The installation package included detailed specifications and full commissioning support, minimizing complexity and reducing timeline risks. Working directly with BMW's contractors, NOVENCO provided design responsibility whilst the contractors handled physical installation. This division of responsibility optimised each party's strengths because it combined NOVENCO's ventilation expertise with the contractors' site-specific installation knowledge.
The complete ventilation system combined jet fans with high-capacity axial flow units to serve the entire underground facility. The installation featured 42 non-reversible AUO-380 jet fans for routine ventilation, 8 reversible ARO-380 jet fans for flexible airflow control, and 6 NovAx ACN-1250 axial flow fans with capacities up to 120,000 m³/h for main extraction.
This configuration provides both daily ventilation and emergency smoke control. The non-reversible units maintain consistent airflow patterns during normal operation, whilst the reversible fans adapt to changing conditions. The high-capacity axial fans handle bulk air movement across multiple car park levels.
Our commissioning team worked directly with inspection bodies to secure system approval. This collaborative approach eliminated delays because it addressed compliance requirements during installation rather than after completion. The team ensured installations met safety requirements whilst maintaining the project schedule.
