This top-tier classification highlights the outstanding environmental performance of the fans and confirms alignment with the highest industry benchmarks.
The certification, awarded by the SGBP, demonstrates that the ZerAx fans meet strict sustainability and performance criteria, including comprehensive assessments of environmental impact and lifecycle efficiency.
Certified variable-speed smoke fan packages for safer and greener buildings
Improvement of fire safety in high-rise buildings, car parks, and tunnels while reducing operational costs is now a realistic goal. With the 2015-update of the EN 12101-3 standard for powered smoke and heat control fans, building owners get access to more flexible and energy-efficient smoke control solutions.
A certified smoke fan package – a fan including a frequency converter – allows for variable-speed operation during fires. This gives facility managers a reliable system that adapts to real conditions, improves smoke extraction control, and reduces energy use during daily ventilation. NOVENCO® smoke control fans successfully tested to EN 12101-6:2022 standards
We are proud to announce that NOVENCO smoke control fans have successfully passed the demanding test programme defined in EN 12101-6:2022, Annex C. The tests included operation with frequency converters and variable-speed performance at temperatures up to 300°C.
AMCA approval of full ZerAx range
All types and sizes in the NOVENCO® ZerAx® fan range are now AMCA approved. The AZL and AZW fan types have both been added to the list of NOVENCO fans on AMCA’s website and appear in searches for approved fans.
Availability appears from the AirBox calculation software and the catalogue. As a result, some AZL and AZW type-and-size combinations are unavailable.
