1. Collection and processing of (personal) data

1.1 Logging of non-personal data

You may visit our website without registering or providing information about yourself. Each time a user accesses our website or when a file is called, data about this process is automatically collected and stored in a log file. In detail, the following data record is stored for each retrieval:

• Data in the retrieved file;
• Date and time of retrieval;
• Transferred data volume;
• Notification whether a retrieval was successful;
• Description of the type of web browser used;
• Requesting domain.

IP addresses are not registered completely but shortened before they are stored. Therefore, tracking to a certain computer is not possible. Storage only serves internal system-related and statistical purposes. We use this information to improve our website continuously, to update it and, consequently, to increase its attractiveness.

We do not combine logged data with other data sources, in particular data allowing identification of a certain person. Logged Data is kept for 30 days after which the logged data is deleted.

1.2 Collection of personal data

Personal data, such as your name, your address, phone number or e-mail address will not be collected unless you provide this information voluntarily, e.g. as part of your desired registration, a survey, a prize draw, to execute a contract or when you request information.

We inform you that there may be security gabs when transmitting data over the internet (e.g. when communicating by e-mail). Complete protection of your data against access by third parties is not possible.

1.3 Use of personal data

Insofar as you have provided your personal data to us, we only use it for technical administration of our websites and to fulfil your wishes and meet your requirements, in particular to execute the contract concluded with you and to answer your request.

If you send us inquiries using our contact form, we will store the information you specified in the contact form, including contact details you provided, to process the request and for any related future questions.

We will not forward, sell or otherwise transfer your personal data to third parties, unless:

• it should be necessary in order to execute the contract. For example, it may be required to forward your address and purchase order to our suppliers when you order products;
• this might be necessary for invoicing purposes;

2.1 Miscellaneous

5. Information, deletion, blocking

You are entitled any time to request free-of-charge information about your stored personal data, its origin and addressees and the purpose of data processing. You are entitled to correct inaccurate data and to delete data that is no longer required for further use or the use of which you no longer consent to (instead of deletion, data may be blocked if storage is legally required).

5.1 Routine deletion and blocking of personal data

The data controller shall process and store the personal data of the data subject only for the period necessary to achieve the purpose of the storage or if so provided by the European legislators and regulators or any other legislator in laws or regulations to which the controller is subject.

5.2 Period for which the personal data will be stored

The criterion used to determine the period of storage of personal data is the respective statutory retention period. After expiration of that period, the corresponding data will be routinely deleted, as long as it is no longer necessary for the fulfilment of the contract or the initiation of a contract.

If the storage purpose is omitted or if a storage period prescribed by the European legislators and regulators or any other relevant legislator expires, the personal data will be routinely blocked or deleted in accordance with the statutory provisions.

6. Use for advertising purposes and right of objection

6.1 Newsletter

If you want to subscribe to the newsletter offered on the website, we need your email address and information which allows us to check that you are the owner of the email address specified and that you agree with receiving this newsletter.

To make sure that you want to receive the newsletter, we use the double opt-in procedure. This means the potential receiver is added to the mailing list. Then he/she receives a confirmation email to legally watertight confirm his/her subscription. Only after having received the confirmation is the address activated on the mailing list.

We only use this data for sending the requested information and offers.

The newsletter software used is NewsletterStudio, which is a module within Umbraco. Your data is transmitted to Umbraco A/S (Haubergsvej 1, 5000 Odense, Denmark). Umbraco A/S may not sell your data or use it for other purposes than for sending newsletters. Umbraco is a Danish certified service provider having been selected according to the requirements of the Danish Data Protection Act.

You may withdraw your consent to storage of data and email address and their use for sending the newsletter any time, for example by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link included in the newsletter.

All data protection measures are subject to technical renewals. Therefore, we ask you to regularly check this privacy notice to learn about our data protection measures.

6.2 Contact form

If you send enquiries to us via the contact form, your data entered into the contact form, including the stated contact information, are stored for the purpose of dealing with your enquiry and in case of additional enquiries. Those data will not be passed on without your permission.

6.3. Other advertising

Without your consent, we only use your personal to the legally permissible extent, i.e. for sending advertising by mail. We will not use your e-mail address, fax and phone numbers for advertising purposes without your explicit consent. You may any time object against the use of your data for advertising purposes. You will then no longer receive advertising by us.

7. Data protection for job applications and during application procedures

The controller collects and processes the personal data of applicants for the purpose of handling the application procedure. The processing can also be done electronically. This is the case, in particular, if an applicant submits corresponding application documents by electronic means, for example by e-mail or by means of a web form on the website, to the controller. If the data controller concludes an employment contract with an applicant, the submitted data will be stored for the purpose of processing the employment relationship in compliance with legal requirements. If no employment contract is concluded with the applicant by the controller, the application documents will be automatically deleted two months after notification of the refusal decision, provided that no other legitimate interests of the controller are opposed to the deletion. Other legitimate interest in this relation is, e.g. a burden of proof in a procedure under the General Equal Treatment Act (AGG).
